CDMC / Estel are to start CSCS card courses for Bulgarian construction workers who intend to come to the UK to work in our industry.
Nogotiations with the CITB SMSTS are taking place and CDMC Estel are utilising the Bulgarian CSCS card DVDs in the courses.

Limited) it is now beginning to run Health and
Safety Training for The Bulgarian Water company and
is awaiting confirmation of lectures for 50 of their
employees. To be at the end of September.
Negotiations are taking place with Bulgarian
government bodies Roads, Railways, Construction,
Woodworking and Furniture Industries.
ESTEL is also offering hotels and catering industry
lectures and advise on HACCP European legislation to
be held in various cities From Sofia to the Black
Sea.

awareness
course
For the
SOFIA
Central
Heating
Company the
course was
run at the
Bella Vista
four star
Hotel
complex in
Sinemoretz
on the Black
Sea.
18 senior
managers
from the
company
attended,
all passed
the exam and
one passed
with a
credit. The
course
covered the
Bulgarian
Health and
Safety Law
and EU
directive
already
Included
with their
implications.

were asked
on how the
UK has
incorporated
the EU
directives
and their
affects
generally on
industries
and
companies.
The
Central
Heating
System of
Sofia is one
of the
biggest in
Eastern
Europe. In
spite of the
limited
operational
safety, the
system
supplies 900,000 citizens
and about
5,900
companies,
including
almost all
the
industrial
enterprises
using
vapours.
The system
itself is
supplied by
two internal
stations
“Sofia” and
“Sofia –
Iztok”, the
two big
heating
furnaces
“Zemliane”
and “Lyulin”,
as well as
the ten
regional
heating
furnaces.
The total
hearing
power is
4,640 MWT,
and the
energy
generating
power is
3,000 MW.
The
heating
sources work
with natural
gas and oil
residue. The
two-pipe
heat
transferral
net is 900
km long with
a maximum
diameter of
1,200 mm, and
the
connection
with almost
10,000
heated
buildings is
performed
through 14,000
substations.
“Central
Heating
System
Sofia” is a
sole
joint-stock
organisation
with
municipal
property,
and its main
task is to
provide,
transfer and
sell heat
energy in
Sofia. The
company is
also in
charge of
the
production
and sales of
electrical
energy, to
buy heat
energy from
other local
producers,
and perform
construction
and repair
activities
in the field
of heat and
electrical
production
and heat
transfer. |

HACCP 3 day
course held at Shuman North East Region 20
delegates attended the course, there was a mixture
of restaurant owners and food producing company
managers they all sat and passed the level three
exam with 3 credit achievements.

managers were on the two day course held on a
Saturday and Sunday at Haskavo in the South Central
Region.
There were a
mixture of managers from one company who included
and area inspector, comments after the course were
very complimentary one saying it was the Rolls
Royce of any course on health and safety he had
attended.

Estel ran an HACCP 3 day course which was held in
Hascavo in February 2007.
There was a varied range of delegates from Farm
Products, Restaurants, Old Peoples Homes, The Public
Services Schools and Children's Homes.
28 delegates
passed the course, 6 with credits and there were no
failures
In March Estel
will be lecturing on Construction Health & Safety
and Health and Safety in Municipality Personnel.

In March Estel (Bulgaria) Ltd,
gave a 1˝ day lecture for Municipal
Authorities Outlining their responsibilities and ISO
overview.
This was held at the Finlandia Hotel, Pamporovo, in
the heart of the Rhodopi Mountains.

Some delegates
finished their course with a session of skiing on
the slopes of the beautiful mountains of Rhodopi.
A total of 40
delegates at evening dinner enjoining the 3 days.
On the same lecture tour we travelled to the Black
Sea Resort of Sunny Beach, where
Ed Faultless and Ivo Ivanov carried out HACCP
surveys and are to prepare documentation for two
major hotels and a restaurant in the centre of the
complex.

They really enjoyed taking the
CSCS card tests in Bulgarian
The team were mainly made up from
safety representatives and safety officers.
3 Directors of companies were
also on the course.
Estel is building a good
reputation for EU / English / Bulgarian Safety.
